What an asshole!

Now get a good look at him. Looks like a hell of a nice guy, huh?
This man was a total stranger to the mother.
Believe me, if some stranger said "Shut the kid up or I'll shut her up myself." to me, I'd tell him to fuck off and either call store security or the police.
The biggest questions I have are: How did he get close enough to the woman's child to strike her?
And.
How is it that he is still alive to appear in court? Because I'd have killed him on the spot. I'd have torn his head off with my bare hands.
Not a jury in the world would convict me.
Oh, I know. If it was my child, I would have been the one arrested for committing assault and battery against this guy!
ReplyDeleteMy husband says it isn't even right for a parent to strike their own 2-year-old, let alone some stranger.
What are the odds this guy is going to end up toting an AK-47 into a mall or something at some point in his life???
This article stunned me as well. Let's hope the guy is mentally ill and at the very least it explains his terrible behavior! I could not imagine allowing him anywhere near my kid but I am sure everything happened quickly. When your kid is creating a scene in a store your mind is not always on your surroundings. Hopefully he will sit in either a jail or mental institute for a long time!

I would have killed him. I'm shocked she's forgiven him. I don't know what to say.
ReplyDeleteI would have stepped in between a jerk like that and my own kid. I may be basically peace loving, but you don't touch my kid. If she has been able to forgive him, then more power to her.

ReplyDeleteClearly the guy has mental issues, but I'm the last person to be criticizing him, since every time I see his picture, I think of this:

That is crazy. I can't imagine going through that. I am sure the mom was in shock when it happened, but when the shock wore off, I am sure she was ready to kill the guy too. I am pretty sure I would have stepped in and protected my child; I have an 'A' type personality. I can think of friends who don't have my personality who are more passive and would likely be in shock at the situation and react more like this mom.
