Bye Bye Bobapalooza and other tales

Eric and Matt took Bob to the airport on Sunday morning. Now I need to strip the bed and take it back to the rental place so we can get the old man smell out of the living room.
;)

It won't be gone long, though, because my parents arrive sometime today. Not sure what time, but I'll probably be at work when they show up.

Someone will have to stick dinner in the oven, and a little cleaning will need to happen while I'm out.

I should find out sometime today what the MRI of my knee shows. I'm really hoping that whatever's wrong, it doesn't require surgical intervention.

However. If I do need surgery, I now have a laptop. It will make convalescence a little easier.

I see the physical therapist at 9 this morning for the shoulder. The shoulder is better. It's not 100%, but much better than it was. I'm glad.

See the doctor at 10 for the shoulder. I'll hand him The Great Knee CD that the MRI tech gave to me. The actual films will go to the orthopedic doctor who did the surgery, because I'm supposed to see him sometime this week, too.

I have fewer things to haul to work this week, too. It's mostly there now. I can see that I'll need to organize things a little better, but it's good. I'm certainly calmer starting out the work week than I was last week!

And a request from my lovely friend Tami:
Hey gang,

After a long lull, I am finally writing another homeschooling book. It is tentatively called "The How, What, Why, Where, When and How of Successful Homeschooling: 101 Essential Questions". Each chapter has to lead with a quote or three from people who are currently or have in the past homeschooled. If you'd like to be quoted, here is what I need you to do:

1. Email your quote to me offlist at writinggoddess2@comcast.net by October 1.

2. It can be on ANY topic within homeschooling. Just make sure it's well thought out and sincere. Make it at least one full sentence and not more than six.

3. Include if I can use your first name (only your first name) with it and let me know how many years you've been homeschooling. It will look like this:

"Yadda, yadda, yadda" ~ Nancy (6 years)

4. I'd be tickled if I received more quotes than I could use but since I need somewhere around 25 or so, I doubt it. So, PLEASE, here is a great chance to speak out on any homeschooling topic you want.

5. Lastly, I will have a "Top Ten "list in the back with top ten books to read, supplies to have, etc. If you'd like to submit a suggestion for me to include there too, that would be loverly.

Thanks, gang. Inundate me with wisdom!!!!

Tami

  1. I'm TERRIBLE with house guests, I don't know how you are gearing up for round two. Such a trooper. I hope nothing is too serious with that knee, but I'm glad you have a laptop that you can gingerly set upon the well knee and keep us posted. ;-)

  3. I'm going to think of something for Tami. I'm sick and I can't think right now. My medicine has worn off.

Good luck with your parents and your MRI.

    Hugs!!

  4. The first thing I do after people visit is open windows and clean. Like, the MOMENT they leave!

Well, I can see you posted again after this regarding your MRI results, so I need to check out that one.
