Patellar tendinitis

First, let me say how much it bothers me that it's not spelled TENDONITIS.

After all, they're tendons, not tendins.

My doctor said that my hubby was right... stay off it until the swelling goes down a bit, rest it and try not to over do.

So I was off work Monday and will be off again today.
I'll go back on Wednesday, but can't move furniture or carpets or anything. My crutches will accompany me. Woohoo.

Basically, I'll be useless at work except to help keep staff to student numbers in ratio.

Lyssa went with me to the doctor. She said for moral support. But I used her as a pack animal anyway. :)

It's weird. I can't walk, but I can drive just fine.

I thought I'd dredge up a medical joke to end this post. My brain is a little fuzzy, (Vicodin) so it took awhile.

After examining a woman in the emergency room, the doctor took her husband aside. "I don't like the look of your wife," he said gravely.

"Me neither, " the husband replied. "But she's a good cook and she's great with the kids."

Hmph.

And what is it with husbands, anyway? Yesterday, I called Eric to complain about the $25.00 cost of the crutch padding.

And he said, "Think of it as an investment. You're getting old and decrepit. You'll probably need them again."

  2. I can't believe he said that. Sounds like something you'd see on a Wrongcard!

I wish Patellar Tendinitis was an exotic vacation destination. Hey, maybe with the right medication?

    Hugs!!
