A dad who came to pick up his daughter told me that there were four kids under the covered area on the playground, smoking marijuana.
So I called 911 and reported it. How stupid do you have to be to smoke it RIGHT ON THE SCHOOL GROUNDS?????
The police responded fairly fast, about six minutes or so, but the little assholes were gone by the time the officer showed up.
Mr. Bossy and her big brother were being picked up as the police car cruised in. Their mom had been waiting for me so that I did not have to walk out to the parking lot alone, but I figured that I'd be safe if I was with the cops, so the Bossy family left.
:)
There's a sign on the outside door from our area: ( this sign was posted by the school district)
NO SMOKING
Within A
1000 feet
of School.

That's exactly how it's written.
Am I the only one who thinks that looks funny?
Sheesh. I guess the little pot-smoking weasels can't read.

Smoking pot on school grounds is pretty nervy. The kids probably feel safe there, so it's actually a testament to their school experience, right? And besides, that poorly written sign was probably meant for those who use tobacco products, not something as harmless as marijuana, don't you think? (snort)
ReplyDeleteActually, I think anything that's poorly written by school staff that remains uncorrected is an indication that something is amiss, especially on a semi-permanent sign that everyone is passing every day. Why aren't the staff members seeing how bad that looks and making corrections, lest it reflect badly on their ability to proofread their own writing, let alone teach writing skills to our youth?

Those are some pretty ballsy kids.
ReplyDeleteHowever, with a sign that poorly written, how can they be expected to understand?
You know . . . being high and all. ;-)
Even without the sign, you'd think they'd have had the "sense" to know smoking there equaled BAD.
ReplyDeletePerhaps common "sense" goes with the not being able to read....
