Oh Good. Another battle. Just what I need.
You know what pisses me off?
Spending somewhere around five thousand dollars out of pocket for two years of braces and having a daughter who wants to give me shit about wearing her retainer.
trust me, when she puts it back in, she'll remember why she worked so hard on them in the first place. because it will hurt like a mother.. well lets just say after my hubby slacked off one day, he learned VERY quickly to just do as he was told by the doctor, because those are custom made to fit your new teeth. my hubby was an adult so i couldnt tell him what to do, after the first few days of asking if he had his retainer with him when going to work, i have never had to worry about it again. and time really does fly. he goes in the first week of Sept. to see if he can go to only 'trying' to put it in at night and if its loose, he can go without. instead of wearing it every.single. night. which was again better than every day and night, going to kiss him. he was fanatical about brushing it, but it didnt matter. so unless she is planning a hot date, remind her that her teeth WILL move back if she doesnt keep them on. brave the tough fight, i know you can do it!
Bless your heart! I'm not completely there yet, but when my son found out after he gets his braces, then it's time to take them out, he will have to wear a retainer the rest of his life. The first thing out of his mouth was; I don’t think so! So, I'm sending hugs! Plus, battles with are kids seem to be the hardest ones! Argh! So, I'm sending double the {{{HUGS}}}
Ugh sorry you are having so much frustrations with this ugh. I had to wear a retainer when I was younger but mine didn't come out at all unless the dentist took it out. I think it was a few years before it came out. That was no fun. I'd rather have them for a while in my mouth and gradually less time then having to wear it all the time.

Hey, I'm thinking she can go with out wearing it. For a price. The price being about $5,000.
