I have a new addiction.
I suggested to Lyssa the other day that she needs to spend a little online time perhaps playing math games or solving some logic problems. So I went searching for something fun for her to do and found this: Gem Game
I was sitting here this morning playing it when I realized that I'm very very sleepy. That's when I realized the melatonin hadn't worn off. I take one on occasion* to sleep well.
It takes 12 friggin' hours for it to wear off, can you believe that?!
Anyway, I was not coherent enough to write this morning, although all two of you reading here probably didn't notice. :)
Tomorrow I'll post my latest crafty project for small hands to make.
I took my melatonin at 6:20 this evening, that means I should be able to think in the morning. Right?
*That occasion arises once a month. It occurs during PMS week when I can't sleep for shit, wake up to pee three times a night, lie awake and obsess over dumb things and wait for it to either get light out or the alarm clock to go off. Hormones suck.
Hmm well that doesn't sound like a barrel of laughs [the wear off time]
ReplyDeleteCheers
This is my calling card or link"Whittereronautism"until blogger comments get themselves sorted out.
Are you saying you played that game while sleepy. I just tried and couldn't figure it out. Actually, I did get three light blue gems to disappear, but then felt like a deer in headlights. Maybe it's too late. (midnight)
ReplyDeleteThat game is just like Bejeweled or Sweet Tooth on Pogo. My kids will like it though. I find it just as boring as Bejeweled and Sweet Tooth. LOL
ReplyDeleteSorry your med wore off so quickly.
I used to play this game a lot (Bejeweled actually, which has way better graphics and a full-sized screen in the full version, in case you're interested). It's VERY addicting.
ReplyDeleteI'd never considered insomnia being a PMS symptom. Coincidentally ,I'm typing this at 2am and expecting my "monthlies" in a few days.
