Zooooooooooom

Back to the regularly scheduled life today.

Matt got up at the buttcrack of dawn today to go exercise with his friend. He'll come breezing in about half an hour before class and shower and run back out the door.

Lyssa and I were planning to go exercise this morning, but when Eric went out to get into his truck, he had a flat tire. That means he took my vehicle, and the plans Lyssa and I had, to get to Curves this morning before Girl Scouts at 10:30 may not happen. Right now it's only seven and she's still sleeping, but I'm pretty sure Eric won't be back in time.

Then at 10:30 we have our Girl Scout meeting. Today the moms who taught some of the girls how to knit will be bringing the yarn they plan to use for the baby blankets we're knitting for charity. Not all the girls have enjoyed the knitting, though. Lyssa is totally not interested in it, and I think three other girls really don't care much for it, either. I don't see this as a failure or a bad thing, I like that they get to try things and decide whether or not it's for them.

A dad is going to continue the work we're doing on some astronomy badges. I'm not sure what he has planned, but I know it will be good. I am putting my camera in my bathrobe pocket right now so I will remember to take it with me when I go!

We'll come home from GS, I'll do some dishes, and I'll head out to work. I don't have to be there until two. I do like my job, but I had a nice week off. If they can't get me some hours during Christmas, it won't be helpful to our finances, but it would still be very hard for me to complain.

I never did get to the gnomes yesterday, but the sculpey is out on my table, looking at me with mute appeal every time I walk by. I'm betting it will happen this week.

I also have to fit in a trip to the cell phone store to get a new phone for Matt. His just died this weekend for no apparent reason. The screen is now black and won't work. We're past our two year thing, so we can actually get them for free or almost free. (something you pay out the butt for every month isn't actually free, I know that...)
