Control freak! Okay now you say, 'control freak who'.

I really am one. And I find the older I get, the less likely I am to relax and relinquish control.
In fact, if I don't get to control the experience, I don't want to go.
Now I'm not a mean control freak (usually), but I don't like being pushed around. Being pushed around outside my own comfort zone is intolerable.
Now the thing is, calling someone a control freak is not a compliment.
Or is it?
Is it not a sign of, if not strength, at least an indicator of lessons learned?
When you know that something is just not going to work for you, isn't it stronger to skip the event no matter what people may think of you?
When you know people who are important to you will probably discuss you and yours? When you're pretty sure at least one person (who usually has no friggin' clue) will be snide... and worse, that people will listen to her?
Hmm.
I'll expand on this tomorrow, because I am still trying to get my thoughts about it in order.
Here some (((hugs))) I have no idea what you meant or said, but I have them talks to myself as well.

Not quite sure who is bothering you, but I'm willing to kick their butts. Just ask. Trust me. I'm tough. I do Yoga. And by the way, I'm a major control freak, type-A personality, anxiety ridden kinda women~And Proud of It!!!

ReplyDeleteKelly, no butt kicking necessary. After all, they *are* my family and I still love them even when I don't like them very much at times.
Go get 'em! I'm sure they deserve whatever it is. Stand your ground, you know you best. So there.
