Alyssa is 14 years old today.
She's been taller than I am for a long time. She's funny, creative, amusing, sweet, loveable, complicated, smart...
I'm excited to see what the next year brings while wishing she could stay this way forever. I've enjoyed every age and stage the same way.

I've heard it said (and said it myself) that time really zips by after you have kids. Most of my friends reproduced before I did. I didn't understand what they meant until I had my own baby.
Huge chunks of time just seem to fall off. I don't know what we use to bolt/hold them on, but whatever it is, it's not working.

Happy Birthday to your little girl! I know how you feel, my oldest will be 14 in Aug. I cried big time when he turned 13. All I know is enjoy them as much as you can and they will stay close and thank you when they get older. I did, and I hope mine will do the same.
