Today is a day to think back...

I was pondering this morning about how different Mother's Day is each year.

The first few years of our marriage, we had lots of mothers to send cards to.

Both my grandmothers were still living, Eric's mom was still alive and both his grandmothers were still alive as well. It was tough on our income to afford a card to send to each of them, and I had a hard time parting with that 10-12 bucks it cost to do so. We sent cards to Louisiana, California, Oregon and Colorado.

This year, I had two cards to send. One to my mom, one to Eric's grandmother.

I wish I still had to scrape together money to send them all cards.
