It wasn't all bad, though.

One of the high points was hanging out with Daisy, who's really a sweet baby.

She's too much for my parents to handle, and they're doing some really wacky things regarding training, but since I live in a house with a mellow, geriatric old dog who was trained long ago, it's not really my problem.

It will BE my problem if they ever come to visit, but for now, it's theirs.

They downloaded a book about Jack Russell Terriers from the internet, and the book is the authority.

It trumps common sense every time.

It would drive me bugshit inside a week to be around while they're trying to train her.

She shits on the carpet, she chews on just about everything, and she's just cuter than hell. See?

  1. Oh, he's so cute!

I think Jack Russell Terriers are adorable, but they are SUPER HIGH energy.

We have a Yorkie and he's bad enough. I can't image having anything with any more energy.

House training can be a major chore, I don't know if I'd use some book that I downloaded off the internet, a good dog trainer is the only thing that helped us. Now we're going on 3 years accident free - Hurray!

    Good Luck to your folks!

She is very cute. Jack Russel Terriers are the most hyper dog I can think of aside from Dalmatians and I am not sure if they are much smarter than dalmatians either. My sister has a JRT crossed with a poodle so that helps. He is trained now, but they did a good job with him. Good luck to your parents and to you when you inherit the dog when they leave this earthly life.

  3. Aww, look at that face.

It is totally up to something. I don't trust dogs. They are tricky. They want you to think all they think about is eating and pooping and chewing, but they are up to something.
