This is my 1000th post.
I was searching for something profound to say, but I have nothing resembling profound this morning.

Too tired, I guess. More than a little under the weather, as they say. No details, because, well, yuck, but I'm sure it will be over soon.

I'm still having fun blogging. I have loved getting to know other bloggers. Developing those connections. I feel sure that if we were all to meet, we'd have things to talk about and we'd (mostly) like each other.

Now we wouldn't necessarily agree on everything (religion and politics come to mind) but I think we'd all be able to find some common ground and have a great time.

I love the internet.

Remember January 26th and my concern that if I did not clean the bathroom, a new, possibly unfriendly life form might emerge and eat us for breakfast? It was in this post .

Lyssa read it and was inspired to draw the creature. Since I had asked her for a piece of artwork to commemorate this post, she thought it might suffice.

I agree. If you don't usually click on the art to get the full version, you really need to on this one. :) She's fairly new to watercolor, and worked really hard to get the shading just right. I have had so much fun watching her talent develop. Comparing her current art to her early efforts makes me smile.

Bars of soap on his back, the broken shower bar, wrapped in our shower curtain which happens to be green, with fish... toilet brush, toothbrush, tentacles...he even has a bottle of Lyssa's shampoo wrapped in his, er, slimy toes?
